Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial arts athlete who is a part of UFC. UFC in the Flyweight Division is currently an Kyrgyzstani. She is the elder sister of her fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner by unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko won another medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, and a gold in 2011, and was crowned in the position of IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in 2016. Antonia started her professional career in 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas last time at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won with a majority. Antonina Schevchenko began her professional MMA professional career back in the year 2002 with the victory over Anara Baanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the win by second round TKO and also won her subsequent two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating an overall record of three-three. Shevchenko stopped fighting to focus on the sport of kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in an unanimous vote. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina used her superior fighting techniques to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended after this win. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC during The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi in a split decision after she won her first fight. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night reward in the fight. Shevchenko won her first three fights before losing her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina is currently being knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
