Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on the 1st of October 1996. She is an actor, well-known by her roles in Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House (2022).

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into an actor's family and film makers, two careers which she's pursued. Her first film came out when she was only 9 years young in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she had the leading role in Cristina Comencini's debut film, Zoo, and was part of the cast of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. Red Wood Pigeon, the film she appeared in as Nanni Moretti's daughter was released a year later. It is Close Friends by Michele Placido that saw Asia's acting career explode. This movie received a positive reception in the Cannes International Film Festival. Daria Argento and her mother and one of the actors who was a favorite of Argento's, Daria is an anorexic teenage girl who was searching for the killer of their parents, in Trauma. Asia's intense and absorbed acting skills were utilized in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a nozze. Her role as Arianna in the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di vista, which focuses on a physically disabled girl, was a challenging and intricate role, which brought her the David di Donatello award for best actor. Her film debut was a performance on the screen in Queen Margot, directed by Patrice Cereau. In 1995 she worked together along with Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte Compagna di viaggio and won the title of David di Donatello. Asia's first short film was an episode in the De Generazione movie. Two years later, Asia became a director and made two more films. One of them was AbelAsia was a homage for her father. Asia began her career as a filmmaker in 1999 when she directed Scarlet Diva. She was also the main screenwriter and actress. In May of 2000, the film was released throughout the world. The film received an award during the Williamsburg Festival in Brooklyn, New York.
