Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that blends R&B with soul, gospel music and R&B. She's performed on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine is a name that she has given her was Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta, she originates in Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing piano in church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released only in Japan; it has been remixed since by many producers and remains the mainstay of her live sets. Additionally, she was a part of The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. in 2005 Tyler Perry hired her as the principal keyboardist on his stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her vocals she asked Sunshine to be part of the Dreamgirls production at the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to perform at the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
